EC Civil Society Dialogue: EU-China Trade SIA draft Final Report
On 26 May 2008, DG Trade will hold a Civil Society Dialogue Meeting on the European Commission’s premises in Brussels. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an update to civil society of the ongoing negotiations of a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) between the EU and China. Project Team Leader, Dr Willem van der Geest, and economic modelling expert Dr David Evans, will present the project’s draft final report (covering impact assessment and policy recommendations) on behalf of the consortium implementing the Trade Sustainability Impact Assessment (SIA) for the PCA.
The meeting will serve as a platform for further feedback and discussion on EU-China trade and investment issues related to the sectors, horizontal issues, and broader impacts of the PCA. Feedback on any of the above issues can be sent to feedback@euchina-sia.com. Feedback related specifically to the draft Final Report can be received until 2 June 2008.
